Canada

  • Event to take place in Victoria, BC — Canada

Chile

  • A showing of "The Hidden Costs of Salmon Farming in Chile" in Chile.
  • A showing of the documentary "Ovas De Oro" with a question and answer session following the film. The producer of the film, Manuel Alejandro Gonzalez Llanos, will be present to participate in the Q&A session.
  • Three ads will run in regional newspapers: El diario de Aysén, El Llanquihue, and La Estrella de Chiloé.
  • We are sending salmon to different members of parliament, news editors, ministers and senators with a menu of problems included.
  • Giuliana Furci will be interviewed by a Chilean Radio Station (that will air on Monday 9th).
  • Articles by Terram will run in three different Chilean newspapers.
  • Press conference in Santiago, Chile.
  • Meetings with Patricio Vallespín who is the President of the Parliamentary Commission of Fisheries and Acuaculture and Fidel Espinoza who is a member of Parliament who works on salmon farming issues will take place in Santiago, Chile.

United Kingdom

  • The Salmon Farm Protest Group (SFPG) will be out in force during Action Week. On Saturday 14th October from 11:00am until 12:00 noon, more than 200 SFPG supporters throughout 50 UK cities will hand out leaflets in front of supermarkets from London to the far north of Scotland with this message: 'Go Wild for Real Salmon — Say 'NO' to Farmed Fish'.
